Back in NL

Nearly 2 years after leaving our Dutch house, we finally today took the keys back after a rocky relationship with the tenant.  We have some old friends from our days at BEPS, moving in at the beginning of July, and in between we’ll be busy cleaning, repairing and updating.  However today was a celebration day, a ‘belated birthday/wow! I got a bonus/we got the house back’ type of day…….. so as the sun broke through the clouds, we headed for the beach (our favourite at Groede) and chilled at Puur Strandpavilion, and later finished off at Gusto in Breskens for a fish and pizza supper.

Boy, it certainly made up for my massively quiet (and totally sober!) birthday last week ……..

  1. Boy you certainly like beaches, don’t you!
Aren’t tenants an endless source of hassle – I’ve just emerged from a several month battle.

    • You’ve spotted it! Well coming from Cornwall, I guess it’s in my genes!
So glad to be rid of the old tenants, and so looking forward to our new….. they are friends retiring from Brussels, who loved staying in our Dutch house at weekends when we kept it as a holiday home. I’m sure it’ll get the tlc it deserves!!
