Diet Day 22 – Treetops
My ideal place for relaxation would be way up high. I have dreamed for years of having a treehouse, of being able to climb up high, reach for the sky, and breathe in the air, relax and unwind. I tried the excuse of having kids…..’darling, wouldn’t it be fab if they had a treehouse to play in’. I tried the ‘we need to finish the garden before the kids leave home’. And I tried the ‘I’ll take over the shed if you don’t build me one’. But none worked. 10 years later, the tree has grown bigger, along with the kids, and I’ve gazed longingly at the bottom of the garden and wished for a magical kingdom high above the ground to be created. Nowadays, it would be clad with all the latest electronics/gadgets and gizmo’s; wifi, widescreen and a log burner. Back then, I would have been happy to settle for a wooden floor and roof, a cozy chair, and my books. Surfing the internet in the last couple of days…….. Hubbie, be scared. These are the latest and greatest of the treehouse kingdom, and I’m still dreaming (and wishing for some DIY makeover!!).
